A Class 2 licence in New Zealand allows drivers to legally operate medium rigid vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of more than 6,000 kg and up to 18,000 kg. This licence is ideal for drivers looking to build a career in transport, logistics, construction, and commercial delivery services.
It is often the next step after a Class 1 licence, helping drivers gain experience with larger vehicles and increased responsibility.
